Senior Software Development Manager – Banking Technology

Davidson Tech Recruitment has been mandated to recruit a Senior Software Development Manager for their client in Dubai, UAE which is a leading multinational bank operating sophisticated digital banking, payments, transaction processing, and enterprise technology platforms across multiple international markets. We are looking for senior Software Engineering leaders with a minimum of 12 to 15 years of technology experience, including significant responsibility for managing large software development teams within banking, financial services, FinTech, payments, or another complex enterprise technology environment. Candidates must possess a strong software engineering background and experience across Java, .NET, Python or comparable enterprise development stacks together with microservices, APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, databases, application security, and modern software architecture. The Senior Software Development Manager will lead multiple engineering teams responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical banking applications and digital platforms. Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions, establish engineering roadmaps, allocate development resources, and ensure complex programs are delivered within agreed quality, security, budget, and timeline requirements. Provide architectural and technical leadership across application modernization, microservices, APIs, cloud-native development, system integration, automation, and legacy transformation while maintaining the stability of critical production systems. Establish software engineering standards covering coding quality, peer reviews, automated testing, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, application performance, security, and release management. Work closely with Product, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions satisfy the stringent resilience, data protection, audit, and regulatory requirements of multinational banking operations. Recruit, mentor, and develop Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, and Software Engineers while establishing measurable KPIs around engineering productivity, software quality, platform availability, release velocity, technical debt, and incident reduction.
