Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer – Banking Technology

Davidson Tech Recruitment has been mandated to recruit a Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer for their client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which is a large multinational bank operating enterprise-scale core banking and transaction processing platforms supporting business-critical financial services across the region. We are looking for highly experienced Mainframe Systems Engineers with a minimum of 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience supporting complex IBM mainframe environments within banking, financial services, telecommunications, or other high-volume transaction-processing organizations. Candidates should possess advanced technical knowledge of IBM z/OS environments together with technologies such as CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, RACF, VSAM, MQ, JES2, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF and associated mainframe systems software. Experience within large-scale banking mainframe environments and exposure to high-availability, disaster recovery, performance engineering, security, and modernization programs would be highly advantageous. The Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the availability, performance, resilience, and security of mission-critical mainframe platforms supporting core banking and high-volume transaction processing. Install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, and troubleshoot z/OS and associated system components while undertaking capacity planning, performance tuning, storage and resource optimization, and root-cause analysis of complex production incidents. Support CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, RACF, batch processing, and other mainframe services and work closely with application development, database, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to resolve production issues and implement controlled system changes. Maintain robust access controls, security configurations, backup procedures, disaster recovery capabilities, and high-availability mechanisms appropriate to a regulated banking environment. Participate in mainframe modernization initiatives including integration between legacy core systems and distributed, cloud, API, and digital banking platforms while ensuring modernization does not compromise the reliability of critical banking services. Maintain detailed technical documentation, participate in change and incident management processes, mentor junior Mainframe Engineers, and contribute to architecture, capacity, resilience, and lifecycle planning for the bank's strategic mainframe environment.

Salary : Aed 50,000 per month plus family benefits (Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative.The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made post completion of interviews).
