Senior Backend Engineer – AI-Native Software Platforms

Davidson Tech Recruitment  a Senior Backend Engineer for a Dubai-based technology company developing scalable AI-enabled software platforms. We are particularly interested in experienced software engineers who have built reliable, high-performance backend systems and have subsequently incorporated Generative AI, Machine Learning or intelligent automation into production applications. Candidates must have strong programming expertise in Python, with experience using FastAPI, Django or comparable backend frameworks, together with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, message queues and distributed systems. The role will involve building scalable backend services, integrating LLM APIs, developing AI-powered application features, implementing authentication and access controls, managing data pipelines and supporting integrations with external enterprise systems. Experience with OpenAI, Claude, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP or Azure would be advantageous. Candidates must understand system performance, reliability, secure coding, testing, CI/CD, observability and production deployment. Strong software engineering fundamentals are essential, and applicants whose experience is limited to low-code AI tools or prompt engineering will not be suitable. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is required. Davidson will shortlist candidates who can demonstrate substantial backend applications they personally developed, including production systems with real users, complex integrations or AI-enabled functionality.

Salary : Aed 40,000 per month plus benefits  (The salary mentioned in the advert is indicative.The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews).
