Senior AI Engineer – GCC-Based Financial Services & FinTech Startup

Davidson Tech Recruitment has been mandated to recruit a Senior AI Engineer for their client in Dubai, which is a GCC-based financial services and FinTech startup developing AI-powered financial applications, intelligent automation platforms and advanced financial decision-support systems. We are seeking an exceptionally hands-on AI Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and proven experience developing, integrating and deploying production-ready Artificial Intelligence applications within banking, lending, credit, investment management, financial services or FinTech environments. The successful candidate will personally design, code and deploy Generative AI applications, financial AI agents, RAG systems, intelligent document-processing platforms, financial analysis tools, automated reporting applications and AI-powered workflows that improve financial operations and decision-making. Candidates must have advanced practical experience with Python, OpenAI, Claude and other leading LLMs, AI agents, LangChain, LangGraph or comparable frameworks, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, API integrations, structured outputs, document intelligence, relational databases and cloud deployment. Strong experience developing full-stack applications, internal management dashboards, automated workflows and scalable backend systems would be a significant advantage. A solid understanding of finance and accounting is mandatory, including the ability to interpret balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash-flow information, financial ratios, lending and credit information. Previous AI engineering experience within banks, financial institutions, FinTech companies, lending platforms or financial software businesses is essential. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with founders and senior management, independently translating business problems into technical solutions and taking responsibility for development from initial concept through architecture, implementation, integration, testing and production deployment. Candidates must demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for modern AI technologies and regularly experiment with newly released models, agentic frameworks and development tools. We are not seeking traditional Data Scientists, purely academic Machine Learning profiles, AI consultants or candidates whose primary responsibility has been managing engineering teams. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Finance or another quantitatively rigorous discipline is required. Davidson will shortlist candidates who provide hyperlinks, demonstrations or verifiable evidence of multiple AI applications they have personally built, preferably within financial services, together with details of the financial problem addressed, technologies used, individual engineering contribution and measurable business outcome. This is a full-time, on-site position in Dubai offering the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of a growing AI-driven financial technology business.
