Lead AI Engineer

Davidson Tech Recruitment has been mandated to recruit a Lead AI Engineer for a Dubai based financial services business that intends to embed AI directly into its lending and credit operations. This is not a Data Science or advisory appointment. The company wants an engineer who can sit with its management and finance teams, understand how a lending decision is actually made and then personally build the technology to improve it. Projects will include intelligent analysis of borrower documentation, automated extraction and interpretation of balance sheets and P&Ls, AI-assisted underwriting, credit assessment, financial-document intelligence, management reporting, loan workflow automation and agentic systems capable of completing multi-stage financial processes. Candidates must be highly accomplished builders with strong Python development, LLMs including OpenAI and Claude, RAG, vector databases, APIs, AI agents, document processing, databases and full-stack application development. Just as importantly, they must understand financial statements, cash flow, financial ratios, credit and lending without requiring a finance team to explain every underlying business concept. We are particularly interested in engineers who have previously built technology for banks, lenders, FinTech companies, credit businesses or other financial institutions. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or another quantitatively demanding discipline is required. To be shortlisted by Davidson, applicants must provide 2–3 examples of financial AI/software products they personally built, what financial problem each solved, what they personally coded and integrated, and evidence of the resulting improvement.

Salary : Aed 45,000 per month plus benefits  (The salary mentioned in the advert is indicative.The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews).
